Community tapes

Leave a
memory.

Every street is holding something nobody has said out loud yet. The shop that was always there until it wasn't. The night the windows went. The wall you kicked a ball against for six summers. Tell us yours, in your own voice if you can, and pin it to the spot where it happened.

Takes about five minutes. All we need is a label, your name, the story and where it happened.

A1 Label it

First name and age is perfect. It's what goes on the tape.

A2 Tell it record, upload or write — at least one

Talk like you're telling a friend on the bus. Up to three minutes. Background noise is fine; it's part of the place.

Press REC when you're ready. We'll ask to use your microphone.

READY TO SEND

Every community story is listened to by a person before it goes anywhere, and we may not be able to publish them all. Approved memories can become stops on free community walks. Our premium walks are researched, written and produced by the Tell Tale team. Files you send are stored privately and only our editors can open them. Changed your mind later? Get in touch with your tape number and we'll take it down.
